Bosnia stamps year 2022 Europa CEPT – Stories and Myths Legends

📰 Official Issue & Theme

• In May 2022, BH Pošta (Sarajevo Post) released a EUROPA CEPT set titled “Stories and Myths” comprising two stamps plus souvenir sheets, FDCs, minisheets, and larger sheets.
• The design theme highlights Bosnian fairy folklore, especially tales of vila—supernatural beings born from dew on mysterious hills, featured in folk songs about heroes like Alija Djerzelez, Muja Hrnjica, or Halil.

📦 Issue Format & Presentation

• The stamps were issued as:
  • Individual stamps (2v set),
  • Accompanying souvenir sheets,
  • Mini‑sheet of 6 and larger sheet of 10 versions,
  • Multiple First‑Day Covers (FDCs) with cancellations.

🎨 Design & Folklore Background

Illustrations depict vila (fairies), referencing Bosnian mythology. These ethereal creatures are linked to nature and ancestral stories of love, protection, or mischief within folk lore.
