Yugoslavia postage stamps year 1956 Scientist – Inventor Nikola Tesla MNH set
In 1956, Yugoslavia issued a commemorative postage stamp set celebrating the birth centenary of the famous scientist and inventor Nikola Tesla. The set includes 4 stamps, each depicting inventions and contributions associated with Tesla:
- 10 dinar stamp: Induction motor
- 15 dinar stamp: Transformer
- 30 dinar stamp: Electronic controls
- 50 dinar stamp: Portrait of Nikola Tesla
These stamps were printed using photogravure, issued in panes of 50 stamps with perforation comb 11½, and were valid until the end of 1957. The issue honors Tesla’s immense impact on electrical engineering and his Serbian heritage linked to Yugoslavia.
