Yugoslavia kingdom year 1938 Hospital in Demir Kapija complete set ☀ MNH**
The Kingdom of Yugoslavia was a state in Southeast Europe that existed from 1918 to 1941. It was formed after World War I from the remnants of several collapsed empires, primarily the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the Ottoman Empire. The kingdom was initially known as the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes until 1929 when it was renamed the Kingdom of Yugoslavia.
The Kingdom of Yugoslavia comprised various ethnic groups, including Serbs, Croats, Slovenes, Bosniaks, Montenegrins, Macedonians, and others. It was a constitutional monarchy, with a king as the head of state and a parliamentary system of government.
However, Yugoslavia faced significant challenges throughout its existence due to ethnic tensions, economic disparities, and competing nationalisms. These issues were exacerbated by the Great Depression in the 1930s and the rise of fascism in Europe.
In 1941, Yugoslavia was invaded by Axis forces during World War II, leading to its disintegration. The Axis powers, primarily Germany, Italy, and Hungary, occupied and partitioned the country. This marked the end of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia as a unified state.
