United Nations Vienna year 2006 Fauna Reptiles & Amphibians stamps sett MNH stamps
The 2006 United Nations Postal Administration (UNPA) Endangered Species series issued for the Vienna office focused specifically on Amphibians & Reptiles.
Issued on March 16, 2006, this installment was part of the ongoing annual UN series supporting CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora).
Vienna Issue Specifications (Scott #376–379)
The Vienna set featured four distinct species of poison dart frogs, chameleons, and tree boas:
- €0.55 – Dendrobates pumilio (Strawberry Poison Dart Frog)
- €0.55 – Furcifer lateralis (Carpet Chameleon / Jewel Chameleon)
- €0.55 – Corallus hortulanus (Amazon Tree Boa)
- €0.55 – Dendrobates leucomelas (Yellow-banded Poison Dart Frog)
Formats & Layouts
- Miniature Sheet / Pane: Issued in mini-sheets of 16 stamps (4 horizontal se-tenant blocks of 4) featuring all four species on a single pane.
- Singles & Se-Tenant Blocks: Available as individual stamps, se-tenant strip/block of 4, or full mini-sheets.
- Sister Offices: As part of the annual 12-stamp joint release, New York (US$) and Geneva (CHF) offices simultaneously issued complementary 4-stamp sets for other endangered species categories that year.
