UN Geneva 2013 – UNESCO World Heritage: China Stamps
- The World Heritage – China stamps were issued on 11 April 2013 at the Palais des Nations in Geneva (as well as at UN offices in New York and Vienna).
Designed by Sergio Baradat of the UNPA, the series features six UNESCO World Heritage sites in China, reflected across multiple denominations for each UN office. Geneva’s stamps are part of this set.
According to a collector blog, the 2013 series across all UN offices included :
- Mogao Caves
- Imperial Palace, Beijing (the Forbidden City)
- Historic Ensemble of the Potala Palace, Lhasa
- Mount Huangshan
- The Great Wall
- Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor
The Geneva issue would feature the two denominations in Swiss francs (typically 1.40 fr and 1.90 fr), each portraying one of the above sites.
