Tuvalu year 2006 Elvis Presley MSS stamps

Elvis Presley has been honored on several postage stamps over the years. The United States Postal Service issued its first Elvis Presley stamp on January 8, 1993, the day that would have been his 58th birthday. This stamp became one of the most popular commemorative stamps in the Postal Service’s history.

The design of the stamp features a black-and-white photograph of Elvis Presley taken by William Speer, a color background reminiscent of neon lights, and the words “ELVIS PRESLEY” in large letters across the bottom.

Since then, there have been several other Elvis Presley stamps issued by the Postal Service, including a series in 2015 featuring a young Elvis, an older Elvis, and a gold replica of the original 1993 stamp.
