Macedonia postage stamps year 2005 Europa CEPT – Gastronomy MNH**
In 2005, North Macedonia (then officially the Republic of Macedonia) issued postage stamps for the Europa CEPT theme, which that year was “Gastronomy.” The Macedonian Europa 2005 set features two stamps depicting traditional food elements:
- Mi:MK 348, Yt:MK 338, Sg:MK 487: This stamp showcases a traditional meal, highlighting iconic food ingredients and dishes from Macedonian cuisine.
- Mi:MK 349, Yt:MK 339, Sg:MK 488: Another design from the set, also focusing on elements of Macedonian gastronomy and traditional meals.
Additionally, one of the stamps is described as showing “wheat, bread,” and another “peppers, plate of food,” reflecting the importance of bread and peppers in the country’s culinary tradition.
These stamps were issued as a horizontal pair, with denominations noted (e.g., 36 denars and 60 denars), and are part of the global Europa CEPT issue which celebrates cultural heritage and traditions through postage stamps.
