The 1942 Italy War Propaganda set consists of stamps issued under the Kingdom of Italy during World War II to support the war effort. There are two main identified sets from 1942:

  1. A set of 12 stamps featuring military themes such as Italian Army, Navy, Aviation, and Militia, showing King Vittorio Emanuele III and war symbolism. This set is catalogued as Sassone n. 1/12 and includes denominations such as 25c, 30c, 50c, and 1 Lira in various colors. These stamps are both mint and used collectible items.
  2. A smaller, unissued set of 3 air mail stamps with attached labels (imperforate between stamp and label) designed for war propaganda purpose, with denominations 50c (tawny), 1 Lira (violet), and 2 Lire (blue). This set was apparently not officially released for postal use but exists as collectors’ items.

The 12-stamp military propaganda series is well-known and includes all twelve values representing different branches of the Italian military during WWII.
