Bosnia year 1997 stamps – Lady Diana / Flowers full set MNH**

The stamps commemorating Lady Diana, Princess of Wales, and the Flowers theme were issued in 1997 by the postal administrations of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Due to the political structure following the Bosnian War, three separate postal administrations operated in the country, and two of them issued distinct stamp designs to commemorate the late Princess Diana, who had visited Bosnia just before her death to campaign against landmines.

Bosnia and Herzegovina (Serbian Administration – Republika Srpska Post)

  • Date of Issue: 1997 (various dates cited)
  • Theme: Diana, Princess of Wales (1961–1997)
  • Format: Issued as a se-tenant pair (two attached, differently designed stamps) and/or a miniature sheet containing these stamps.
  • Scott Catalog: Scott #67 (for the pair).
  • Design: This issue is recognizable because the designs typically feature the country name in both Roman and Cyrillic letters (“BOSNA I HERCEGOVINA” and “БОСНА И ХЕРЦЕГОВИНА”).

The stamps you are referring to, marked MNH (Mint Never Hinged), would be stamps in pristine condition, unused, with the original gum intact. The “Flowers” element is a common visual feature, especially in the Sarajevo Post issue, where the border or design includes roses.
