1. Medieval Weapons: During the Middle Ages, various types of weapons were used in the territory that would later become Yugoslavia. These included swords, spears, axes, maces, and bows and arrows. These weapons were commonly used by knights, soldiers, and mercenaries in battles and conflicts between rival kingdoms and empires.
2. Ottoman-Era Weapons: During the period of Ottoman rule in the Balkans (15th to 19th centuries), both Ottoman and local forces used a variety of weapons. Ottoman soldiers were equipped with weapons such as sabres, scimitars, muskets, and various types of firearms. Local resistance fighters, known as hajduks or guerrillas, also used traditional weapons like pistols, rifles, and edged weapons in their struggle against Ottoman rule.
3. World War I and World War II Weapons: During the 20th century, Yugoslavia was involved in both World War I and World War II, and a wide range of weapons were used by Yugoslav forces as well as occupying powers.
