Yemen year 1970 stamp – Art Paintings Napoleon MNH
In 1970, the Kingdom of Yemen (the Royalist faction during the civil war) issued a colorful series of stamps featuring Napoleon Bonaparte and famous paintings related to his life.
These stamps are typical of the “Dunes” or “Sand Dune” era—vibrant, large-format stamps produced in Europe specifically for the international collector market. Because they were issued by the Royalist government-in-exile, they were rarely used for actual postage within Yemen.
