Slovenia issued two distinct stamp sets under the “Flora” theme in 2010, both focusing on flowers:

1. Flora V – Carnations (Dianthus)

This was a set of four stamps that continued the established “Flora” series, featuring various species of the Carnation or Pink (Dianthus) flower native to Slovenia.

The four species featured were:

  • $0.26 €$: Dianthus sanguineus (Blood-red Pink)
  • $0.30 €$: Dianthus sternbergii (Sternberg’s Pink)
  • $0.40 €$: Dianthus deltoides (Maiden Pink)
  • $0.92 €$: Dianthus carthusianorum (Carthusian Pink) – Also issued in a miniature sheet.

2. Flora VI – Peonies (Paeonia)

This was a second, separate flower issue for the year, focusing on peonies, and was issued in a Miniature Sheet containing two stamps.

The two species featured were:

  • $0.45 €$: Paeonia officinalis (Common Peony)
  • $0.92 €$: Paeonia rockii (Rock’s Peony – though this is not native to Slovenia, it was featured alongside a native species).

The common release date for both sets was March 26, 2010.
