SHS – Bosnia year 1918 200 h stamps Block MNH
In 1918, Bosnia and Herzegovina issued postage stamps by overprinting Austrian-issued pictorial stamps of 1910. These overprints read “DRZAVA S.H.S. / 1918 / Bosna i Hercegovina” (“State of Slovenes, Croats and Serbs / Bosnia and Herzegovina”) in Latin characters, and their Cyrillic equivalent. The overprinting was done in letterpress in black and red colors. This issuance was part of the State of Slovenes, Croats and Serbs, a short-lived political entity formed by Slovenes, Croats, and Serbs residing in the southernmost parts of the Austro-Hungarian Empire
