The Cathedral Church of St. Michael the Archangel, also known as Saborna Crkva (The Cathedral), is a Serbian Orthodox cathedral in the center of Belgrade, Serbia. Situated in the old part of the city, it stands at the intersection of Kralja Petra and Kneza Sime Markovića streets. The cathedral is one of the most important places of worship in Serbia and was proclaimed a Cultural Monument of Exceptional Importance in 1979.

The Cathedral of St. Michael is one of the few preserved monuments in Belgrade from the first half of the 19th century. It played a crucial role in Serbia’s fight for independence from Ottoman rule. In 1830, a wooden bell tower was erected beside the church following the Sultan’s Hatisheriff, which granted Serbs the right to conduct religious services. The casting of the bells symbolized Serbia’s long-awaited victory.

The church’s treasury holds relics of Serbian saints, including Emperor Stefan Uroš V, Lazar of Serbia, and Despot Stefan Štiljanović, as well as the graves of Miloš Obrenović, Mihailo Obrenović, Metropolitan Mihailo, Metropolitan Inokentije, Patriarch Gavrilo V, Patriarch Vikentije II, Vuk Karadžić, and Dositej Obradović
