The EuroBasket tournament is one of the most prestigious basketball competitions in Europe, featuring national teams from across the continent. As of my last update in January 2022, there have been several editions of EuroBasket, and Slovenia has hosted the tournament once.

In 2013, Slovenia had the honor of hosting the EuroBasket tournament. The competition took place from September 4 to September 22, 2013, with games held in various cities across Slovenia, including Ljubljana, Celje, Jesenice, and Koper.

The Slovenian national basketball team, also known as the Slovenian Dragons, had a strong performance in front of their home crowd during EuroBasket 2013. Led by players like Goran Dragić, the team reached the final, where they faced France. In a thrilling championship game, Slovenia narrowly lost to France, finishing as the runners-up of the tournament.
