The Jersey 1970 Pictorials was a major Definitive Issue (a set of stamps intended for regular use over a period of time) which was issued upon the Channel Island’s decimalisation and full postal autonomy.
This set of 15 values is known as the “Views of Jersey” or “Typical Motifs” Definitive Series. The stamps feature various aspects of the island, including its landscapes, flora, fauna, history, and heraldry.
The stamps were issued in two main groups:
- Low Values (½p to 10p): Focused on island motifs like wildlife, shells, and crustaceans.
