The Ireland 1989 “Game Birds” set was issued as the Twelfth Fauna & Flora Series. It is a set of four commemorative stamps featuring Irish game birds.

The stamps were issued on October 5, 1989.

• Format: The stamps were printed in a large square format ($36 \text{mm} \times 36 \text{mm}$).
• Miniature Sheet: A miniature sheet was also issued for this set (Scott #758a), which included one of each of the four stamps along with a central design featuring a Curlew.
