The German Reich issued several service stamps (Dienstmarken) between 1919 and 1926, including:
- A set of 14 stamps released in 1920 with denominations ranging from 1 Pfennig to 10 Mark, featuring the coat of arms and overprinted “Dienstmarke”. These stamps were used for official government mail.
- Additional service stamps were released in 1922 with different watermarks and perforations, such as 14 and 14¼.
- In 1926, a new set of service stamps was issued with the coat of arms design, denominated from 3 Pfennig to 50 Pfennig.
These service stamps were used by various government agencies and ministries for their official correspondence during the Weimar Republic period of the German Reich. Collectors can find both mint and used examples of these stamps from the 1919-1926 era.
