German stamps sports aid committee year 1985 Basketball and bowling
In 1985, the German Sports Aid Committee (Deutsche Sporthilfe) was honored with a set of postage stamps issued by Deutsche Bundespost (West Germany). Among the stamps in this series, two were dedicated to basketball and bowling:
- Basketball Stamp – A 50+25 Pfennig stamp featuring an artistic depiction of basketball players in action.
- Bowling Stamp – A 60+30 Pfennig stamp showcasing a bowling player, highlighting the sport.
These stamps were part of an annual “Für den Sport” (For Sports) series, which helped support German athletes through additional surcharge funds.
