📌 Notes for Collectors
- These stamps were issued when the Bohemia & Moravia Protectorate postal system was under German Reich authority — hence the “Deutsches Reich” inscription, with Czech/German Protectorate names below on some issues.
- In 1944, besides the Hitler birthday stamps, other commemorative designs (e.g., St. Vitus Cathedral, Bedřich Smetana, etc.) were also issued but are not Hitler-themed.
- Michel catalog numbers for the 1944 Hitler birthday issue (136–137) help you identify the correct stamps in standard European catalogs.
