Bosnia year 2003 – Aviation, Wright Brothers full set ☀ MNH**
The Wright Brothers, Orville (1871–1948) and Wilbur (1867–1912), were American aviation pioneers credited with inventing, building, and flying the world’s first successful powered airplane. Here are some key points about their achievements and contributions to aviation history: Born in the late 19th century in Dayton, Ohio, the Wright brothers developed an interest in flight from an early age. They were fascinated by the works of other aviation pioneers and began experimenting with kites, gliders, and other flying machines.
Invention of the Airplane: In December 1903, Orville and Wilbur Wright achieved their historic feat at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, by successfully flying their powered aircraft, the Wright Flyer. Orville piloted the first flight, covering a distance of 120 feet (37 meters) in 12 seconds. Over the course of the day, they conducted a total of four flights, with the longest lasting 59 seconds and covering 852 feet (260 meters).
The Wright brothers made several key innovations that contributed to the success of their powered flight. These included the development of a three-axis control system (roll, pitch, and yaw) to maintain stability and maneuverability, as well as the use of a lightweight, air-cooled engine.
