Bosnia – Serbian postage stamp year 2006 Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart MNH
In 2005, the Serbian postal administration of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Republika Srpska) issued a commemorative postage stamp to mark the 250th anniversary of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s birth. Released on January 27, 2006, the stamp has a face value of 1.50 BAM and features a multi-coloured design depicting a portrait of Mozart alongside a musical score. It was printed using offset lithography with comb perforation 14:13¼, and the total print run was limited to 20,000 copies.
This stamp is cataloged under Michel number 358 and Stanley Gibbons number S361. It is part of a thematic series celebrating composers and music, specifically focusing on Mozart’s contributions. The stamp was issued as a single item, not as part of a larger set.
For collectors interested in acquiring this stamp, it is available through various philatelic platforms.
It’s worth noting that Serbia also issued a similar commemorative stamp in 2006 honouring Mozart, which was part of a joint issue with a stamp dedicated to Rembrandt.
