🇦🇹 Austria – 1947 “Landscapes” Definitive Stamp Series

📮 Background

After World War II, Austria issued a series of definitive stamps depicting Austrian landscapes and scenic views. Many of the values originally printed between 1945 and 1947 were reissued with new colours in 1947 following a currency reform, making the 1947 Landscapes series a distinctive and collectable group in Austrian philately.

These stamps were used for everyday postage and remained in use well into the early 1950s.

📅 1947 Landscapes Series (Selected Values & Subjects)

They are collectively known as part of the “Landschaften” or Landscapes definitive series re‑released after currency reform in late 1947.
