Ajman year 1969 stamps Fauna – Birds set MNH**
The full set of Ajman 1969 Fauna – Birds stamps consists of a large number of individual stamps.
Based on common philatelic listings, the main set of definitive-style stamps is usually composed of:
- 11 individual stamps (perforated version).
- Michel Catalogue numbers: 394-404 (for the perforated set).
These stamps feature various bird species, including a notable selection of Parrots and Birds-of-Paradise.
As was common with the issues from the Trucial States during this period, the set was also often released in:
- Imperforate versions of the 11 stamps.
- A matching Souvenir Sheet (or miniature sheet) containing one or more stamps from the set.
Note: Ajman was one of the Trucial States that later became part of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 1971. Many of the stamp issues from the 1960s, including this Fauna set, were printed for the collector market and are generally inexpensive and widely available in both perforated and imperforate formats. They are often listed in stamp catalogues as “Appendix” issues due to being issued in excess of actual postal needs.
