Slovenia stamps year 2015 Music / Composer Davorin Jenko joint issue MNH
The 2015 Slovenia-Serbia Joint Issue honoring composer and choirmaster Davorin Jenko (1835–1914) was released on November 6, 2015, to mark the 180th anniversary of his birth.
Because Jenko famously bridge-built both musical cultures—composing the melodies for both the historic Slovenian patriotic song “Naprej, zastava slave” and the Serbian national anthem “Bože pravde”—both postal administrations released parallel designs on the exact same day.
