  • The Palić Zoo, founded in 1950, is the largest zoo in Serbia and is located in a protected nature area near Lake Palić.
  • The zoo is home to about 150 animal species and over 300 plant species, including many protected and strictly protected animals such as the griffon vulture, brown bear, grey wolf, common buzzard, great eagle-owl, white and black storks, white-tailed eagle, hedgehog, and mol.
  • The zoo also plays a significant role in education and the rehabilitation of injured and confiscated wildlife, returning many animals to the wild after recovery
