In 1969, the Republic of San Marino issued a series of postage stamps featuring the artwork of Italian painter Rodolfo Viola. This series included three stamps depicting his mountain landscapes, notably “Mt. Titano” and “Pier at Rimini.” Remarkably, Viola was the only living artist featured in this series, alongside masters like Botticelli, Guercino, and Tintoretto.

Rodolfo Viola’s seascapes have also gained recognition, becoming symbolic representations in events like the America’s Cup.
